This comprehensive course equips teen & Preteen participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively respond to various emergency situations. In Session 1, you will learn how to ensure scene safety, confidently contact emergency services, operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and provide critical aid to choking victims of all ages. Session 2 builds upon this foundation by teaching techniques to control life-threatening bleeding ('Stop the Bleed'), properly splint and wrap injuries, and administer CPR to adults and infants. Successful completion of both sessions results in a 2-year certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), a nationally recognized credential
In Session 1, participants will learn the critical foundations of emergency care. This includes prioritizing scene safety to protect both the rescuer and the victim, mastering the steps for effective 911 communication, understanding and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and performing appropriate techniques to relieve choking in adults and infants.
Session 2 equips teens with the skills to handle more complex medical emergencies. You will learn how to stop life-threatening bleeding, stabilize fractures and sprains through splinting and wrapping techniques, and gain proficiency in performing CPR on adults and infants, empowering you to respond effectively in critical situations
